Drop-off Locations for Burmese Pythons Harvested for 2013 Python Challenge™

You must drop off your harvested Burmese python within 24 hours of its harvest at an official drop-off location. Don't forget to include a fully completed data sheet for each harvested Burmese python in order for it to be logged to reflect the correct competitor, snake and location.

Below is the list of places where you can drop off your harvested Burmese python.

• On Saturday, January 12, 2013 only, the official drop-off location will be the same facility where the 2013 Python Challenge™ Kickoff is being held - the University of Florida Research and Education Center, 3205 College Avenue, Davie, FL 33314. Snakes will be accepted at that location until 4 p.m. that day.

• On Saturdays and Sundays during the 2013 Python Challenge™, there will be a check station specifically for Challenge participants in operation from 2-6 p.m. The check station will be located at:

  2. Venom 1 Unit of Miami-Dade Rescue, 14150 SW 127^th Street, Miami, FL 33189, 24 hrs, call 786-331-4454 or 786-331-4443 before dropping off a snake.
  3. The Conservancy of Southwest Florida, located at 1450 Merrihue Drive, Naples, FL 34102. From 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Contact Ian Bartoszek at 239-403-4208 before dropping off a snake. Available 7 days a week.

Specific parking instructions for the UF facility in Davie:

Please park in the lot south of the UF Administration Building (yellow with blue roof) and west of the Extension Office. Walk south through the chain link gates to the front of the new four-story FAU building (FAU Davie West). The offices where you can take your snake(s) are on the 2nd floor (Rooms 225 and 229-231).

Do not park in the FAU parking lot behind the FAU building. That area is for FAU faculty and staff only. Security will ticket unauthorized vehicles.
